Willy Walker

Chairman & CEO, Walker & Dunlop

Willy Walker is the Chairman and CEO of Walker & Dunlop. Under his leadership, the company has transformed from a small, family-owned business into one of the largest commercial real estate finance and advisory firms in the United States and internationally. Walker & Dunlop is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange, and in its first decade as a public company, its shares appreciated by more than 800%. The firm ranked #17 on Fortune’s 2017 list of “Fastest Growing Public Companies” and has been recognized as a Best Workplace by the Great Place to Work® Institute in eight of the past eleven years.

Mr. Walker received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2011, was named “Financier of the Year” by Commercial Property Executive in both 2017 and 2020, and was honored as a Most Admired CEO by the Denver Business Journal in 2024.

He holds a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree from St. Lawrence University. Mr. Walker currently serves on the boards of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Foundation and the Harvard Business School Board of Dean’s Advisors. His previous board service includes St. Albans School, the Mortgage Bankers Association, and Children’s National Medical Center.

Mr. Walker is also a member of the Real Estate Roundtable. An avid runner, skier, and cyclist, he completed the Boston Marathon in an impressive time of 2:36.
