David Webb (A&S '82)

Vice President, CBRE

As Vice Chairman for CBRE’s Capital Markets Group, Mr. Webb started and has led for the last 12 years CBRE’s Mid Atlantic Debt and Structured Finance group., which arranges senior debt , mezzanine debt and equity for a wide variety of apartment/condominium, office, retail industrial and other properties and development projects.  His team secures funds from a wide range of capital sources including Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac, FHA, pension funds, endowment funds, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, offshore and domestic banks, debt funds, mortgage REITS and other sources.  

After having worked early in his career as an attorney and real estate developer, Mr. Webb and since acted as a broker, advisor and investor in over $50 Billion of commercial real estate transactions, including over 150 major development and repositioning deals and thousands of refinancing and acquisition financing transactions, including more than 100,000 apartment and condo units and 15 million square feet of office space.  He has earned the distinction as the top Finance professional for real estate in the Greater Washington region in 15 of the last 20 years, and has consistently been one of the top CBRE finance professionals in the nation for the last 13 years. Mr. Webb also currently serves on the University of Virginia Board of Visitors.
